Publication in Brain Stimulation about t-DCS Electrode Reliability
In a recent publication in Brain Stimulation, research assistant Marny Ehmann assisted Dr. Hampstead and colleagues in a report on the reliable use of silver chloride electrodes for up to ten sessions of HD-tDCS. The publication asserts the importance of best practices in stimulation protocol (e.g., electrode rotation, consistent amount of conductive gel, saturation phase and impedance monitoring) to ensure electrode longevity and stimulation efficacy. Data highlight the stability of impedance values and tolerability of common sensations experienced during stimulation across ten sessions of HD-tDCS. This was Marny's first publication in her research career. To view the publication, click here.
